We're back for the final time in this Bible Burst series to hit the Book of James NIV: Bible Study and Commentary. Here, we comb through chapter 5 highlighting the differences between the rich and the poor and the power of prayer.
Specifically, we are reminded that in the end, the rich and the poor, and their statuses, will be reversed in heaven. Thus, if we are indeed blessed with abundant resources in this life, we should live generously. Also, where James talks about praying in all circumstances, the good and bad, the Douglas Moo commentary helps us better understand exactly what he meant in this verse.
This Book of James study has continued to serve as an incredible source for our understanding of both faith and works and learning how to live the gospel in everyday life. This video series is by no means a replacement for a New Testament Bible Study, or even a formal Book of James Study Guide.
But, my hope is that through God, it has spoken into your life in some small way.
